Fees & Reimbursements
Social Security reimbursement + supplementary insurance possible
Understanding Sector 2 in a few words
Dr Yasmine Maazouzi practises in Sector 2 (free fees). This means her fees may exceed the base rate set by French National Health Insurance — common practice among specialist surgeons in private practice.
Concretely, how does it work?
The Sécurité Sociale reimburses a fixed portion of each procedure (based on the standard rate). Your supplementary health insurance covers all or part of the remainder. The final amount you pay depends on your cover.
Before any procedure, a written and detailed quote is provided. Contact your insurer to find out your exact reimbursement before committing.

The fees quoted are private-sector fees (Sector 2). French Social Security reimburses on the basis of the standard rate. Your supplementary insurance may cover the excess. Please check with your insurer.
What is Sector 2?
The doctor applies strictly regulated fees. No excess permitted.
The doctor is free to set their fees, within professional ethics. This is Dr Maazouzi's sector.
Non-registered doctor. Very low reimbursements.
How are reimbursements calculated?
For each procedure, reimbursement is in two steps:
French National Health Insurance reimburses based on the standard fee (e.g. €30 for a specialist consultation, 70% of a surgical procedure).
Your supplementary insurance covers the remainder including the excess, depending on your contract. A Sector 2 policy generally covers most of the excess.
The final amount you pay depends directly on your supplementary health insurance.
